Auditions will be held at Santa Fe High School Cafe West, 10400 Orr and Day Road. Cast roles are available for performers age 8 and up. The production is a non-equity show, meaning all performers are volunteers. Auditions may last a full day, so it is recommended that those auditioning bring snacks or money for vending machines. Summer Food Program is back WHITTIER – The Summer Food Service Program, through the sponsorship of the Whittier Union High School District, will take place this year at four sites in Whittier and Santa Fe Springs. Free meals will be made available to children under 18 at these sites from June 26 through Aug. 11 in accordance with federal law. Meals will be offered at the following Santa Fe Springs sites on weekdays from noon to 1:15 p.m.: Lakeview Park, 11500 E. Joslin St.; Los Nietos Park, 11143 Charlesworth Road; and Santa Fe Springs Park, 10068 Cedardale Drive. Unveiling on tap for aquatics center LA MIRADA – Groundbreaking ceremonies for the La Mirada Regional Aquatics Center and the La Mirada Community Sheriff’s Station expansion will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. June 28 at the La Mirada Regional Park. Guests are invited to enjoy musical entertainment, free food, games and a groundbreaking ceremony, which will take place at 6 p.m. An array of city services also will be featured, including a Public Safety exhibit. The new La Mirada Aquatics Center will be finished in summer 2007.
